Newcastle-based facade and glazing specialists delivering commercial, multi-residential and architectural window and door systems across NSW since 2012.

Hunter Windows is a specialist supplier and installer of architectural aluminium window and door systems, operating from Thornton in the Hunter Region since 2012. With a team of 20 and a project portfolio spanning high-rise residential, commercial, aged care, education and architect-designed homes across NSW, Hunter Windows brings technical depth and hands-on installation capability to every project. As part of Hunter Construction Group, Hunter Windows draws on shared resources, procurement strength and construction expertise across a collective of specialist trade and construction businesses.

Our Capability

Hunter Windows operates as a complete facade glazing partner — from early design consultation and system selection through to supply, installation and compliance documentation. This end-to-end capability is what distinguishes Hunter Windows from suppliers who manufacture or distribute product without taking responsibility for the installed outcome.

Our capability includes:

  • System selection and specification support — working with architects, facade consultants and builders to identify the right window and door systems for the project’s performance, compliance and design requirements
  • Supply — aluminium window and door systems from the AWS Elevate range, covering windows, doors and facade systems across commercial and residential applications
  • Installation — Hunter Windows installs its own product; installation is not subcontracted, giving clients a single point of accountability for supply and installation quality
  • DBP Act compliance documentation — product certification, test certificates, WERS ratings and traceability documentation supporting Design Compliance Declarations and Occupation Certificate requirements on regulated NSW buildings
  • Project management — coordination of glazing scope within broader construction programmes, including liaison with builders, facade consultants and certifiers

Our Location

Hunter Windows operates from Thornton in the Hunter Region, servicing projects across Newcastle, the Hunter Valley, Central Coast, Mid North Coast and broader NSW.

Our office and warehouse is located at 52 Bonville Avenue, Thornton NSW 2322. Site visits and consultations are available by appointment.

Our Leadership

Ben Smith — General Manager

With over 15 years of hands-on experience across aluminium glazing, construction management and business operations, Ben Smith leads Hunter Windows with a clear focus on technical excellence and commercial growth. His background spans every level of the glazing industry — from trade and production through to project delivery and branch management — giving him a practical understanding of what it takes to deliver complex facade and glazing scopes to a consistently high standard.

That depth of experience informs how Hunter Windows operates today: a team built around technical capability, accountable installation and the kind of specification support that architects, builders and developers can rely on across the full project lifecycle. Under Ben’s leadership, Hunter Windows is actively expanding its commercial and high-rise project capability across NSW.
